I am in the midst of getting things set up to (finally) start my Etsy store. I'm going to sell photos and jewelry primarily. I have ordered a bunch of stuff to get started with, and I hope to launch it within the next month or so.

I'm also (again) thinking about switching blog names. I'm tired of this one, and I'm not going to use it for my store name. I'll keep you up to date if/when I switch over or if I decide to keep this one, too... Yes, I'm kind of dragging my feet on this. :)

I feel like all I've been doing for the past few days is research, buy, and research some more, but I think I'm getting somewhere! Hope you are having a good week.

That's so exciting! :) I thought I saw some jewelry supplies in your new "creative room"... :)

When I first started selling jewelry, I feel like it took me forever to finally set up shop...buying, researching, making...it all takes a while!

Looking forward to seeing what you've made!

i'm thinking of a new name too! i'm in the process of transferring all my old posts to my married account and think that the occasion calls for a brand new name :)

and big news - jonathan and i bought a new car! our first one as a married couple. wouldn't you know that it's another (manual) civic? just can't get away from 'em :)

@karen: It's lots of work, but very exciting! I will keep you updated. :)

@jen: Maybe there is a blog changing bug going around.

Aren't the new Civics great? Maybe before too long our cars will be driving us. I am not such a fan of the headrests poking into the back of my head, but apparently they are in all new cars to keep drivers awake and prevent whiplash (yay insurance). So the one thing I don't like isn't even Honda's fault.

Boo, my comment was deleted.

Anyway, I can't wait to see your etsy store! I have always wanted to sell my photography on etsy but I'm not really sure how to do it. I'm interested to see where you get your prints done, etc. Did you do any research online? I've tried, but its a little overwhelming.

I'm in your lovely city, and wow, there are a lot of people. :) It's overwhelming too. :P

@cassie: It’s busy and it’s not even officially the weekend yet. Things get a lot crazier! There is a lot to do -- you are probably not going to see everything, so this is like your warm-up trip for next time. :)

I have looked into the photo thing. You can't just have a company drop ship things for you, but it's ok if you have the prints made and then mail them out yourself. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me considering that the photo is really what the person has captured, but who am I to judge the handmade gods who make the rules!
